1. How does it work?

When injected, the calcium microspheres initially perform as a filler--providing volume for a soft, natural look. Over time your body absorbs the gel carrier but the very tiny microspheres remain. In addition to volume, Radiesse begins the process of new collagen formation; renewing your body's own natural facial support structure.

2. Is Radiesse safe?

Yes, years of rigorous clinical testing in hunderds of thousands of patients world wide have proven Radiesse to be safe and effective. The calcium used is a biocompatible substance, identical to what's naturally found in the body. Radiesse does not contain any animal or human derived components, therefore, there is virtually no risk of allergic reaction.

3. How long will my results last?

The FDA has stated that Radiesse will last for over a year.

4. What areas can be treated?

Our physician will discuss how Radiesse may be right for you. But generally, Radiesse can be used to add volume to the cheeks, to smooth out the smile lines between the mouth and nose, to fill in the deeper lines and folds of the face.

5. Is treatment painful?

Our doctor will numb the treatment area prior to the injection to minimize any discomfort.

6. What are the possible side effects?

Most side effects are mild in nature and their duration is short. The most common side effects are temporary injection site reactions such as redness, tenderness or mild bruising.

7. Is there any down time?

Allow approximately 30-60 minutes for the procedure itself. There will be a slight redness and swelling of the skin following treatment. Most clients do not experience any downtime.
